The visual nature of the experience is the result of a collaboration between director and visual artist Monika Masłoń with 3D model maker Adam Kosiewicz and scene designer Marcin Puchalski, whose day job is programming for computer games. As a specialist in new technologies, including virtual and augmented reality, he took charge of developing the mechanics and interactions in the project.
Kajetan Zakrzewski, a doctoral student at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music, who has experience both in creating the sound layer for Cinematic VR and creating documentation of immersive music concerts and social events, was responsible for sound recording issues.
An important part of the production process was the recording of voiceover recordings, in two language versions, Polish and English. They lent their voices: Julia Kolberger, Włodzimierz Press and Richard Bialy.
„Control Negative” was directed by audiovisual artist, lecturer and graphic designer Monika Masłoń in cooperation with Rafal Kotas, a haiku enthusiast.
The executive producer of „Control Negative” was Agnieszka Sural (Witryna Foundation), an independent curator, critic, educator and producer.
Production: July-November 2021
